Arnott’s Biscuits proudly helps Driver Reviver volunteers save lives across Australia

Each holiday season up to 175 Driver Reviver sites open all over Australia.

Driver Reviver is a community program operated by volunteers from a wide range of service organisations and community groups, whose members give up their own time to help reduce the road toll.

Fatigue is one of the biggest causes of fatalities on our roads, causing between 20 to 30 per cent of fatal road accidents around Australia – these figures are even higher in rural areas. Driver Reviver rest stops provide drivers and their passengers with a place to safely take a break, particularly on long trips.

They offer a free cup of hot tea, coffee, an Arnott’s biscuit and most importantly, a chance to revive so visitors reach their destination safe and sound.

Allan McCormac managed the program and its expansion on behalf of volunteers and the sponsors from 1989 to 2021.  In 2017 Allan McCormac was presented with the Order of Australia Medal.
